Trump’s Presidency: A Fatal Fail or a Close Call?
Uhmm… Trump is having the time of his life right now
Omo! Trump’s first 100 days in office is giving civil war, plot twist, unpredictable circumstances, and a whole lot more. I mean, who would have thought?
First off, why did Trump assume office with so much anger? Who is chasing him? Who is pursuing him? Because the way his chill evaporated into thin air is honestly shocking. The energy is a thousand and one percent!
Every time I tune into CNN, there’s another bombshell. Trump again? Haa! From mass job cuts to scrapping DEI to Elon Musk practically acting as vice president, Trump is rolling out policies like there’s no tomorrow. And honestly? I can’t help but wonder what his voters think of him now?
Now, let me be real. I respect the drive behind Make America Great Again (MAGA). I’m not blind to the hidden agenda behind it (because of course, there is one), but I like to believe Trump genuinely wants to restore America’s dominance. The country has lost some of its standing; disrespect from other nations, looming world wars, a surge in undocumented immigrants, crime rings, and other illicit activities.
But is Trump handling it the right way? Definitely not. In fact, every day, I’m shocked. Tell me why he’s scrapping an entire federal Department of Education, why? And these outrageous tariffs on China, Canada, and Mexico? While Trump argues that these tariffs will protect American industries, experts warn they could spike inflation and hurt the same working-class voters who supported him. So again, what’s the game plan here?
And you know what’s crazy? His policies are hitting everybody, even us here in Nigeria. Do you know how many people will suffer from the USAID cuts? Millions could lose access to life-saving health aid. And the tariffs? Inflation is already squeezing us, and now the price of US-used cars is about to skyrocket because of increased import tariffs. If you think it’s just an “American problem,” think again.
Someone might argue that there’s a political strategy behind all this. Sure, maybe. But that doesn’t change the fact that real people are being affected. At least try to lessen the damage! That said, I do see some logic in a few of his decisions. I just can’t seem to grasp the other half.
So now, the big question: Are Trump’s voters regretting their decision? Because if I were in their shoes and feeling the brunt of his policies, I’d be reevaluating my choices right now.
What do y’all think? Let’s be honest.
